The Roden Boys’ Choir (1985) is a choir in the British tradition, with its repertoire being Anglican choir music in its broadest sense.  The choir’s conductor is Rintje te Wies, who is also the artistic director for the Stichting Roder Jongenskoor (Roden Boys' Choir Foundation).  The Roden Boys’ choir is widely praised for its consistent British choir style, not only in relation to size and voice occupation, but also in the strong attention to voice quality of the individual boys and young men.

The Roden Boys’ Choir has chosen in all its aspects for a musical direction that in British choirs leads to their famous high level of music making.  In past years the boys have cooperated on many large productions for choir and orchestra, such as performances of J.S. Bach’s Matthew Passion, the War Requiem, the St Nicolas Cantata and Benjamin Britten’s Spring Cantata, as well as Gustav Mahler’s Third Symphany which prescribes a boys’ choir.  Boy soloists regularly participate in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s ‘Die Zäuberflöte’, Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem en Leonard Bernstein’s Chicester Psalms.  The choir regularly travels abroad.  At the beginning of 2002, the Roden Boys’ Choir was named cultural ambassador of the European Union in the Netherlands by the Federation of European Choirs.
